Read the FDA notice

A recall covers only the products and lots named in the notice. Other Northwest Naturals products are not affected unless the FDA or the company says so.

If your dog food is on the list

  1. Stop feeding it. Check the lot number and best-by date on your bag or can against the FDA notice.
  2. Keep the bag, or take a photo of the lot code, UPC and best-by date. The FDA says the lot number and use-by date matter most if it follows up.
  3. If your dog seems unwell, call your vet and say which food and lot it ate.
  4. Ask the store or the company for the refund the notice describes, and clean bowls, scoops and storage bins.
  5. You can report a problem to the FDA through its Safety Reporting Portal, or call 1-888-INFO-FDA.
